CASA VERDE residenza sanitaria per disabilità neuropsichiche
L’intervento intende recuperare e integrare un vecchio presidio già adibito ad orfanotrofio sito su una porzione di territorio collinare prossima al centro storico di San Miniato.
CASA VERDE young women´s care home for mental health problems
The project aims are to recover and integrate an old site already used as an orphanage built on a portion of a hilly area next to the old centre of San Miniato.
Il progetto “Casa Verde”, così storicamente chiamata per la forte valenza sociale (Casa/orfanotrofio – Verde/perchè immersa in un bosco di Lecci quercus ilex), è di fatto una ricerca di legami di fratellanza:
1_ Con il bosco, per mezzo dello studio delle sfumature di colore che le foglie hanno nelle diverse stagioni;
2_ Con le “ragazze ospiti”attraverso la rilettura dei loro lavori grafici riportati in editing sulla facciata in vetro;
3_ Con la città tramite il recupero dei vicoli (utili e necessari per la manutenzione dei versanti);
4_ Con l luce naturale (filtro vano scala principale);
5_ Con il vecchio filare secolare di cipressi tangenti alla struttura.
6_ Con l’arte attraverso l’artista Mercurio- S17S71 che rileggendo il volto degli “ospiti” ha creato una collezione di opere contemporanee.

The "CASA VERDE" project, so called because of his historically/social value (CASA/home / orphanage – VERDE/Green / built in a forest of holm oaks), is a search to found links:
1_with the woods, through the study of the color leves shades in different seasons;
2_with the "guests Girls" by editing their graphic works on the glass facade;
3_with the city by reusing "vicoli carbonai" (useful and necessary for the maintenance of the hillside);
4_ with the research of a dialog with the natural light (main staircase);
5_with the centuries-old cypress trees next to the structure.
